First primarly deathmatch. One master server will be hosted (with capacity for 32 players) where you just can shoot players and collect powerups and stuff.

Awesome! I remember there was an online Metroid deathmatch game someone made years ago. but it was a buggy laggy mess. Definitely looking forward to this one.

Heh, what wouldn't happen to be "Metroid Kombat", right? :sheepish:

And about what characters, first only Samus. My goal is to create a steady multiplayer engine. I may choose to change sprites/physics/etc to Super Metroid or MZM style or whatever later on.

You oughta have different styles of Samus with different physics and damage tolerances.
Like, NES Samus vs Super Metroid Samus. That would rock.

You say it'll use 8-bit sprites, but you show it with super metroid sprites. Is that just an engine test?
