YAY!
Final, you say? I somewhat have doubts...

Batandy May 9 2008, 6:49 PM
Wow.AWESOME!
But i don't understand the room-to-room warp engine...

HourOf May 10 2008, 3:35 PM
It's really good, I can see you put in A LOT of effort, and it definatly paid off.
I made a complete engine you know, I'm using that to make my own metroid game.
I put the samus physics up for download,
but I cannot put in any of my rips yet until
I finish the game.

RetroX May 12 2008, 11:07 PM
Final? My god, did you eat this and spit it back out? Physics good, presentation bad.

Dragon May 13 2008, 12:22 PM
I get a bunch of errors for the "Buy Pro GM" situation. Upload an exe please.

PhayzonYoshi May 14 2008, 3:14 PM
@D__E, Yeah, I'm sick of it.
@Bat, heh, who does?
@HourOf, Up for download? Define.
@RetroX, It tasted gooooooood.
@Dragon, kk

Grenze May 16 2008, 2:36 AM
uhh is any chance you'll maybe make a troidengine for gamemaker lite if have'nt already Killpanzer tod me about the Engine you made so I'm just asking

Oh and the reason is I'm remaking metroid 2

PhayzonYoshi May 16 2008, 4:57 PM
No I won't.
Don't remake MII, there are too many kickass projects going around that right now.

Grenze May 16 2008, 11:06 PM
Oh I did not know that. I only knew of one metroid two remake being made.

PhayzonYoshi May 17 2008, 10:27 AM
AM2R, SR388, M2R(not actually that kickass, but...), and probably a few more in secret.

Plus... it really isn't original, if I wanted to play a remake, I'd whip out my emulator. Those games add something new, especially SR388

Straightos May 18 2008, 10:38 PM
Hey, not to be mean, but, it still has lots of bugs,
here are some suggestions:
-Make the speed boost only when you have the upgrade.
-You should use more graphics from the original game.
-It doesn't has the ability to hang in the wall.
-Change the sound from when samus appears.
-I think that when samus does somersault, even if you aren't pressing any direction, she still goes some pixels forward.

I hope you should do a next version.

Dark__Echoes May 19 2008, 12:36 AM
Those aren't really bugs. And it's a SUPER Metroid engine; wall hanging wasn't in that game. He'd have to make custom sprites and everything.

Straightos May 19 2008, 2:11 AM
Huh? there wasn't a wall hanging power up? maybe i am messing up with zero mission...

PhayzonYoshi May 19 2008, 6:36 PM
1) No, do it yourself >:(
2)No I shouldn't, it's an engine, not a fully fledged put your own levels in
3)No, it shouldn't have that, silly.
4)<____< Do it yourself, it's only a sound file!
5)Go play SM, you don't.

And no, I won't be doing a next version, partly because of people posting 'suggestions' that have nothing to do with SM, and partly because I've worked too damn much on it.

Batandy May 23 2008, 2:36 PM
@Phayzon Yoshi
When i try to make a room-to-room teleport,
the game get stuck.

P.S.Made a Spiderball,a lava path and the varia suit!
This engine Rocks!

PhayzonYoshi May 24 2008, 11:01 AM
roomy= room you want to go to
xx= x co-ordianate to warp to
yy= t co-ordinate to warp to.

Spiderball is a pretty neat thing, could be pretty fun to make, so... yeah, maybe, lave path is what?
Varia suit... main problem is the sprites, I could get the functionailty, but the sprites would be a bugger to do... :(

Batandy May 24 2008, 3:15 PM
I try this...

RetroX May 27 2008, 11:04 PM
PY, Varia is easy. Just make it take away half health if the Varia is enabled.

PhayzonYoshi May 28 2008, 1:16 AM
Yes, retty, I'm not a total fucking moron.
If it's so easy, you do it, and send me the source.

It's not hard, but changing the suit sprites would take forever, and I can't be bloody bothered, so would you kindly tick off?

Meta Ridley v6 Jun 5 2008, 2:14 PM
The room to room engine does not work.

PhayzonYoshi Jun 5 2008, 8:45 PM
Does too.
You just have to use it right.

See point 6 of the id ten t leaflet that comes with it: If you are unable to make the basic components work, please learn GML, or don't bother coming back.

:D

RetroX Jul 8 2008, 11:04 PM
I know GML, and this is too damn spread out and apart that I have no clue what to do with this. At least take out everything unneeded and comment it a little bit so I know where to look for stuff.

Miles07 Aug 2 2008, 6:29 AM
Me like. I've tried to demo it, but it keeps saying I need Pro... Dang. There's a slight possibility that I might tweak a few things just to make it work right...

Well, can I use it for my fangame, please?

Metroid 12 Aug 21 2008, 12:19 AM
In TEV6 you could scan in more directions than just right. Why did you take that feature out?

Ehsteve Sep 27 2008, 10:46 PM
This is a very good engine, in my opinion. Yes, it has bugs, looks kind of thrown together, but if its so horrible, like a few people are making it look, go make one yourself. Phayzon Yoshi obviously took the time to SHARE with you a way to make a metroid game, not only that, but made it very easy to work on, so if you find a problem with it, its really easy to fix.

But i don't understand the room-to-room warp engine...

All u have 2 do is make ur own. just make an object and when ur player comes in contact with that just go 2 the next room

AlexR Aug 18 2009, 1:41 AM
no, you set the coordinates (x,y) in the creation event (ctrl+right click)

and then set the different rooms and the rooms you wanna go to in the script

SuperMetroidFan Aug 13 2010, 11:49 PM
I may use this.
