Not too necessary, but it's good. Too bad my GM Pro broke. =(

LOADS or people have said 'OMG, whats teh kontrols' so I thought I should add it in.
(BTW; My GM pro broke, too, so I now have a cracked version, it works fine)
EDIT: Does F1 work? or does it bring up a blank screen?

You put in a gm6 yet you say gm7? Anyways, I can't use it. Another side note, once I tidy it up, you can use my MP1 music rips (mp3 format highly compressed, I use audacity) as opposed to those absolutely horrid MIDI's.

Sidenote: I think we are the two most active users on the site, but it's hard to know, considering the fact that there isn't an active users list.

I'd rather you didn't 'clean up' my personal project. Anyway, I wanted to keep the filesize down for the WiP release. I would take up your offer of rips, tho.
BTW, why was it unplayable?

EDIT: it was originally a .gm7, but I changed it at the request of the staff.
EDIT2: did you mean the rips, or my game?

The Game. My GM Pro. Broke, remember?
Also, I'll put the rips in the queue as soon as they're done, but since you want them, you can have them first. =P
I'll PM them to you.

EDIT: Since your game uses GM Pro, you can put the MP3's in the same folder, and then when you play it, you change the MP3 from file. Make the resource 'music' and then just play music and replace it when needed.

It's impossible play your How-tos. It's use REGISTRED version for play this game ! I want not buy the registred version for play.

Unfortunately, I can't post an unreg version, I use too many unreg features, and am just releasing this to be nice, so an EXE's all yer getting.
However, the culmination of the TE project will be a full engine, and a seperate level editor, so you can make games like that. kind of like an 'MGM'.
BTW, Retro, Thanks for the rip's, they should be a great help. (though I like some of the midi's)
One thing, tho, do you have the bit at the beginning, where Samus is flying along, after the first bit, ooooooh!, like my inflight music.

BTW, waver, it's impossible to sound more like a n00b than not using any grammar, or punctuation apart from !!!!!!!!!!!!.
My advice for spelling, get FireFox, and Google toolbar.

It's a great how-to! However...
There are some wierd bugs in it.
First, when I use a charged beam attack, I get an error.
Second, when I attempt to leave the boss room with the metroid in it, I go back into the room and get stuck.

Try this, it's the latest build. There shouln't be any reason to get stuck, can you help ol' yoshi, and do it again?
P.S. I'll post my debug controls. + on the numpad saves, and - loads. left click is the beta gravity module, and right warps you to that point. Have fun, and critisize away!

Ok, in that .exe, you don't enter the ship, so the game never really starts...

Ya, it's broken
Press <ENTER> to skip it, I don't think there are any other errors. (It didn't take the .gmk -> .gm6 -> .exe -> dissasemble to .gm6 -> .exe again very well, I'm afraid, I will try to upload the latest V soon.

to lazy to log on...whtvr. The scripting needs to be tweaked, when you bomb a morph ball block the tile above it should be destroyed. Also the space pirates don't work, and if you make a room bigger then add a warp it won't work. Other than that totaly awsome, I've been looking for somthing like this forever.

I was almost to the ship when samus asploded. In most video games you should make it timed in a way that the least experienced person should either be like a second off or just before it ends. I am pretty experienced and I couldn't beat it.

Yeah, does the same job, but flexes meh skillz more.
Still, I shoulld update this soon, w/ hyper-dynamic water effects!
It's things like waterfalls, filling up holes and so!

Well, I like to think my engine is fairly competent, so check it a bit. Feel free use it, or parts of it, seeing as I'm in the credits anyway :-)

Oh yeah! Might as well use some things from it. Phendrana's pirate base has been pretty deserted...

Yeah, that's the whole point of it, after all!
Seriously, just check out the coding, though much of it is kinda tied in, you might need to wipe out a couple-a variables in the platform script, for example, but hey, it's a free engine!

Of course, it isn't the base engine if you don't change it, so... add a sprite in or something :-).

Hell, though, I didn't make this for people to use, I made it for a) Learning! I've got WAY better at GM by making this, and b) Other people to LEARN! Learning is good, mmmmkay?

well, the one on rapidshare has a lot of bugs such as click on a place that is hard to reach and Samus goes there, u can drag her through stuff, and Samus grows when u get an item, and why do you have a lot of items in one room, oh and in that room, it is "Stealth Mode On", and I got an energy tank and I turned into a glowing ball.
